Our guides help you understand sensory rooms and make informed decisions about your space. We aim for clear, practical information and make the limits of that information visible.
How do we choose sources?
We use original research, public guidance and information from relevant organisations where available. Research claims should link to the research or evidence review behind them. Supplier pages can explain a product or price, but they are not independent evidence that a sensory room or product works.
Sources appear alongside the guidance or in a sources section. Prices and availability can change; check the supplier's current details before making a purchase. Where a detail could not be reconfirmed, the article should say so.
How is content reviewed?
Drafts may be prepared with AI assistance. A person decides what is published. Unfinished drafts stay outside the public guide collection and search sitemaps.
Editorial approval is different from clinical review. We only name a professional reviewer when that person has reviewed the page. A page without a named clinical reviewer should not be read as professionally reviewed advice. The updated date records an editorial update, not a guarantee that every linked source or price was checked that day.
What do we say about benefits and evidence?
We distinguish practical ideas, individual experiences and research findings. We explain uncertainty and avoid presenting a sensory room as a guaranteed treatment. People have different preferences; one person's helpful environment may be uncomfortable for someone else.
Our information is general guidance. Decisions about a person's care or specialist equipment need advice from the appropriate qualified professional who understands their circumstances.
How do commercial relationships affect the site?
The site currently publishes information; checkout and supplier referrals are not available. We may introduce affiliate links, equipment sales or paid referrals later. If we do, we will explain the relevant relationship where you encounter it, including when a link may earn us a commission. Paid placements will be labelled.
We do not describe products as tested by us unless we have used them, and we do not promise that a product will suit everyone.
How do we handle updates and corrections?
We revise guidance when we identify a material error or a source changes. Significant corrections should explain what changed on the affected page. Older prices and examples may need checking again before you act on them.
